Jewelry, swords, and pottery... excavated in 2002 and first introduced to the people of the Capital are among the items in the palace that are nearly 1,000 years old.

The Thang Long Imperial Citadel heritage area displays 29 typical and unique artifacts from the Thang Long imperial palace from the Ly - Tran, Lê Sơ, Mạc, and Lê trung hưng periods. These are essential utensils and items that play an important role in the royal palace's life, from daily life to banquets of the king and the court during the holidays, the king's birthday, the king's coronation... Furthermore, many valuable pieces of pottery are used as natural gas in temples or as interior decorations in palaces and attics to adorn the noble and luxurious beauty of the court.Lý dynasty, 11th-12th centuries, green enamel box lid embossed with dragons and clouds. This small disk depicting a dragon is one-of-a-kind and extremely rare artifact discovered at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel ruins. This artifact tells us not only about the item used in the king's meal but also about the technique of producing high-class pottery for the king, which was made by Thang Long kiln in the early Le dynasty, 15th century.

Under enamel, the dragon and the cloud-shaped project are subtly sketched with cobalt blue strokes. The dragon's remaining parts are expertly painted with red enamel, green enamel on glaze, and real gold on top of decorative motifs.

Brown flower ceramic wine vase with the lotus-shaped body, 11th-12th centuries, Ly dynasty.

As a result, visitors will be able to recognize the beauty and unique value of the pottery used in the ancient Thang Long palace. Some precious metal artifacts from the Early Le period, 15th-16th centuries, include copper bracelets, rings, silver yin-yang engraved faces, and a brass brooch.Tran Dynasty, 11th-12th centuries, piece of gold leaf with dragons and clouds. In 2017, the ancient stone well to the east of The Telescope Palace was excavated. The well measures 68 cm in diameter and 41 cm in height. The wall of the mouth is carved with lotus flowers in the 17th-century art style of the Le dynasty. The relics have recreated the type of water well used in the ancient Thang Long palace's daily life. The 'Courtesan's Post' order was dated the 7th of Quang Thuan (1466).White yeast wine jug, cannon shaped like a dragon's head, dragon tail shoulder with dragon legs King's utensils, 15th century, Lema period.Tran period, 13th-14th centuries, brown flower pottery with lid, stem ornamental lotus string

Tourists in the middle of the train line in Hanoi

Many foreign tourists enjoy visiting "train street," where they can drink coffee and experience thrills whenever a train passes.Every weekend "train street" in Hanoi has been crowded with hundreds of tourists from all over the world in recent months, following a long period of temporary closure due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic. The train street is a 2-kilometer-long road that connects the streets of Le Duan, Tran Phu, Cua Dong, and Phung Hung (Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi). This is a popular destination for foreigners and young people in the country to visit, take photos, and check in.The General Department of Railways built this section of railway in 1956, with the two sides primarily consisting of level 4 houses in the old, simple, and distinctive Hanoi style. This is also a unique feature of the street that draws a lot of attention from visitors."I learned about this place through social networking sites, and when I came to visit, I was amazed and interested because of the beautiful scenery here, especially the experience is both unique and dangerous when the trains run by," Erik, a Turkish tourist, explained. The feeling of seeing the train pass right in front of them is the unique experience that most visitors here look forward to.

When the train is about to arrive, the restaurant staff alerts their customers to stand neatly off the tracks to ensure their safety. A coffee shop owner stated that restaurants in the area that want to do business must follow regulations and sign a commitment to operate only indoors and not infringe on the rail corridor. In the event of a crowded arrival, shops are frequently equipped with iron chains on the outside connecting the sides of the door to limit the standing range while the train passes.Weekends are the busiest times on the train street, with more trains passing than usual. After the train has passed, visitors can relax in the middle of the tracks, pose for souvenir photos, and experience the lives of those who live along the tracks.

If you stay in Hanoi during the holidays, you can explore the culinary alley in the center of the Old Quarter, which serves a variety of dishes such as dried beef salad (nộm bò khô), bún đậu, bún chả que tre, chè thập cẩm, …

Dong Xuan Lane is 200 meters long and located east of Dong Xuan market, near the center of Hanoi Old Quarter. It has long been a popular destination for snack lovers, with many diners being foreigners.

In addition to the small pedestrian entrance, Dong Xuan market alley has about 15 food stalls and is just wide enough to accommodate a row of tables and chairs for diners. Billboards are hung above the eaves of each counter, and there is a space near the wall for sellers to prepare food.

The cuisine in Dong Xuan market lane is diverse, with dishes such as: nộm bò khô, hàu nướng, bánh gối, bánh tôm, ghẹ, tôm hấp, bún đậu, bún ốc, bún chả que tre, bánh mì que...

Dishes cost between 5,000 and 40,000 VND per dish: Chè Xuka is 20,000 VND per cup, shrimp cake is 12,000 VND per piece, noodles are 30,000 VND per bowl, nộm is 25,000 VND, and snail noodles are 40,000 VND... Diners only need 100,000 VND to enjoy delectable dishes from beginning to end of the alley.

A food tour of Dong Xuan market lane can begin with Co Rum shrimp cake at the entrance. The owner claims to have been in business for more than 30 years.

In addition to fresh shrimp, the shop places a premium on the crust. The crust is made in a special way so that when the cake is fried golden, it is not too dry and always delicious. Another distinguishing feature of Hanoi shrimp cake is the addition of finely chopped sweet potatoes fried with the cake.

Ms. Hoa's bread stick cart, which is located near the main gate of Dong Xuan market, primarily serves office workers and tourists. Hoa stated that the shop sells over 800 cakes per day and only opens for 5 hours, 2 hours at noon, and 3 hours in the evening.

The alley has two famous chè shops, the older of which is Chè Yến, which has been open for 23 years. According to Ms. Truong Thi Bach Yen, the shop has 23 chè flavors such as chè đỗ xanh, chè đỗ đen, chè bưởi, chè khoai, chè chuối... chè will change depending on the season. The shop sells more hot teas and drift cakes in the winter.

"After finishing the shrimp cake, I'll have a bowl of snail noodles for 35,000 VND. If you're still hungry, you can refresh yourself with four seasons of tea. Every time I go to Dong Xuan market to get groceries, I also stop by this dining area "Ms. Thanh Mai, a market vendor, shared her experience.

According to small traders at the market, the food lane was previously opened to serve traders entering and exiting Dong Xuan market. However, in recent years, many domestic and international tourists, office workers, and young people from Hanoi have come here to enjoy themselves.

Dong Xuan Lane is open daily from 7 a.m. to around 18 p.m., with the busiest hours being 11 a.m. to 13 p.m. and around 17 p.m. During rush hour, the restaurants in the alley are packed, and many diners must wait in line for 10-15 minutes to get their turn.

It should be noted that the alley has no parking and must be sent to Dong Xuan market. Furthermore, the alley is quite narrow.
