Coming to Ha Giang alone

Van Son (currently living and working in Hanoi) recently completed a journey through Vietnam.

Conquer the white cliffs

The white cliff is the back of a mountain at the top of the Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of Vietnam's most dangerous passes.

According to locals, when there is no Happiness road, the road along the white cliff is the main passage between Dong Van and Meo Vac. White cliff is also where the Cat King and his entourage pass and often stop to rest before. The trail with stone steps leading up here has been around for a long time.

Van Son rode his motorcycle from the Happy Road Museum through the death rock area, down a valley, and up to the observatory. Son arrived at the walking path to begin exploring the white cliff after riding his motorcycle for about 3 kilometers on a difficult road with a cliff on one side and a chasm on the other.

The path along the mountain slope is only wide enough for one person to walk; there are stone steps and iron fences to ensure the safety of tourists.

The white cliff area has a snout cliff thanks to geology's miraculous tectonics, providing enough space for a few people to camp overnight and watch the stars or catch the sunrise when they wake up.

"Going a little further, I discovered lush green beds blooming yellow throughout the area, planted at the base of the white cliff. In the near future, there are clusters of 3-4 trees, the name of which I do not know, but most of them have died dry, leaving only one tree, which I will call a lonely tree for the time being "Son stated. Van Son rated this location as the best in the area and the best place to take photos.

Backpackers can see the beauty intertwined between clouds and mountains, of the Nho Que river, Tu Loi gorge, watching the group of backpackers go in succession on the Happiness Road... from this height.

"To return, you can go all the way to the mountainside, where there will be a small path leading down Happiness Road, or you can go back to where you started," Van Son explained.

Before exploring the rugged cliffs

According to Van Son, many things must be prepared before we embark on our journey. However, the most important factor is one's health.

With the constantly changing terrain of Ha Giang's steep passes or the walking distance as far as the white cliffs, you must refer to the area's terrain, including the path and the way back. Adventurers, in particular, must monitor the weather situation while also considering safety, advantages, and difficulties prior to departure.

The luggage should be as small as possible.

Because the distance to the cliff is quite long, carry-on utensils must be as compact as possible, aside from replenishing drinking water and snacks. The outfit is soft and stretchy, allowing for easy movement. Lightweight waterproof wind jackets are ideal for foggy conditions. Clinging sneakers are ideal for trekking in slick, difficult-to-walk terrain.

Furthermore, if you intend to spend the night, you must bring enough warm clothing as well as tents, camps, and personal belongings.

It should be noted that you should not litter, engrave names, write letters, or draw on cliffs.

"We come here to enjoy the beauty of nature, take only beautiful photos and videos, and leave only footprints," he explained.

DOMAINE DE MARIE CHURCH (VINH SON CHURCH)

The Domaine de Marie church, one of the catholic churches built in the 1940s, is built in French architecture with a striking pink color that can turn coral or brick depending on the angle of the sun. The church's main entrance is a slope leading up a small hill with stairs and fences lined with shadows cast by the surrounding flower gardens.

A large monastery painted in similar colors, graceful and feminine, is located behind the church. Emily was also taken with the cross symbol on the shutters and the cane stripe details on the top floor windows.

PASTEUR INSTITUTE

Emily stated that visitors can find Pasteur Institute branches in many cities throughout Indochina and that the Pasteur Institute is now owned by the Vietnamese government. Emily's fantasy hobby in Hanoi was photographing administrative buildings. Still, in Dalat, the security guard at the station greeted her warmly and instructed her to take pictures in front of the gate. Emily was particularly taken with the building's perfect symmetry (the house had an unintentionally Wes Anderson feel to it) and its bright yellow and steel-gray color palette.

NICHOLAS CHURCH (CHICKEN CHURCH)

The Romanesque-style church, which was built of bricks in 1930, took a decade to complete. Because it is the city's largest church, the Chicken Church is also known as Nicholas Church or Dalat Church.

The church has recently been freshly painted in an eye-catching cream-pink color, and the entire church and complex are meticulously maintained. Emily's favorite feature of this church is its magnificent stained glass windows and relief sculptures.DALAT RAILWAY STATION

Emily believes that Dalat Station, designed by French architects in 1932, is the city's most famous structure. The station was part of the Dalat-Thap Cham railway, which connected Da Lat with Northern Vietnam when it opened in 1938. Both the station and the railway have a long history. Tourists are currently served along this route.

The station, renamed the "Dalat Highland Railway" and decorated in a classic style, is the site's defining feature, but the buildings behind it are even more appealing when one of the carriages is converted into an acafé.

Emily revealed that this was the only place in Da Lat where she had to pay to take photos, with a ticket price of 10,000 VND per person.

FRENCH VILLA VILLAGE

Emily realized the difference between French architecture in Hanoi and Da Lat after arriving at this location. In Hanoi, old houses are frequently located close to each other on the same small street corner, and visitors can easily walk around and explore everything. In Dalat, French villas line both sides of the long main road, making walking appear more difficult. Emily recommends that visitors pick a small section of this long road to walk around.

She gradually discovers why this beautiful city is famous for its mysterious and somewhat creepy stories at this attraction. The neighborhood is full of long-abandoned houses, some of which have been refurbished but retain a distinct ancient and mystical feel. At this location, Emily was also impressed by a hotel called Green Dream Dalat Hostel.

YERSIN COLLEGE

Despite knowing that Yersin College is one of the International Architectural Association's (UIA) 1,000 outstanding architectural works of the twentieth century, both historically and aesthetically, Emily is surprised to see it in use.

The massive bell tower and walls are solidly built of red monolithic ceiling tiles, arched doors, and classrooms, all on an unthinkable scale, according to Emily. Emily was also surprised that the school was still open for business while the door was open to welcome tourists when she visited this location.

PALACE III BAO DAI

Emily's next recommended destination in Da Lat is King Bao Dai's Summer Palace (Palace III Bao Dai). This is the most popular tourist attraction on the list and one of the few colonial structures that have been completely restored on the inside.

Emily was particularly taken with the Art Deco style of this 1933 mansion. Emily also stated that the ticket price of 15,000 VND / person is a very reasonable price for visitors to visit a beautiful and historic mansion like Bao Dai Palace.

HOTEL DU PARC DALAT AND CAFÉ LA POSTE

The Hôtel du Parc and Cafe La Poste are located on the same street near Dalat Cathedral. Du Parc Da Lat, according to Emily, is not as grand as Metropole in Hanoi or Continental in Saigon, but with the same architectural school as Bauhaus, it's an interesting getaway when visiting Dalat. Emily recommends a tea party at the Belle Époque-style Le Café de la Poste restaurant.

ESCAPING THE CITY FOR A MOUNTAIN VILLAGE

People visit Yen Bai primarily to see the rice terraces, eat delicious dishes made from nuggets, and immerse themselves in the refreshing hot spring water. But, thanks to Hoi, a Tay ethnic friend from college, I recently learned about Lam Thuong Valley, a name that many people haven't heard of because it's very wild, peaceful, and, most importantly, untouristed. Many times, I've put work aside to carry my backpack to the remote mountain village to "hide."

On an early winter day, I took a 5-hour sleeper bus from Hanoi to the Luc Yen district of Yen Bai. After another 15 kilometers of zigzagging road in a motorbike taxi, I arrived at Tong Pang (Tông Pắng) village, Lam Thuong commune, which is nearly 260 kilometers from the capital.

It was almost noon because it was 7 a.m., and the villages deep in the Lam Thuong valley gradually appeared before my eyes. There is only one way to get to the valley. People in the village continue to raise livestock in order to be self-sufficient in food. When you visit Lam Thuong, you will see traditional Tay (Tày) stilt houses, streams, and waterfalls deep in the jungle, and even caves and high mountains with few footprints.

If you arrive in Lam Thuong, the majority of visitors will stop at The Xới – Xôi Farmstay. It is also the only homestay where you can experience the life of a genuine Tay ethnic family. She is a 9X Tay girl who has returned to her hometown after many years of learning to travel and work as a guide, transforming her own home into a place to welcome visitors, combining gardening and fish ponds to increase production for her family. As soon as I stepped through the gate, the entire family, from the elderly to the children, greeted me with questions, smiles, and kindness that made me feel at ease.

Initially, guests were just friends of the brothers in the house, but as time passed, someone shared and made small tours on their own, and eventually, foreign guests learned about it and chose it as a place to rest and relax. The longer he stayed in his hometown, the more he realized that his home and hometown could become a destination for those who prefer to live slowly, enjoy nature, and seek to rediscover themselves. As a result, she has decided to "escape to her hometown" as a homestay until now. I secretly admire you, one of the young people who dare to be themselves, to build a dream, and to lay the first brick for Lam Thuong to become a destination for those who want to learn about indigenous culture.

DIVE INTO THE PEACEFUL NATURE

On my first day in Lam Thuong, Xới took me to the Nặm Chắn waterfall, which is about 6 kilometers from my house. Because the waterfall water from the watershed flows out, it is very clear and cool, and both villagers and visitors agree that bathing is very enjoyable. People travel to the falls through rice fields, palm trees with umbrellas, and bamboo forests with green bamboo. If you can still see people's houses and flocks of ducks snuggling in the first paragraph, the next paragraph will be just you and the mountains and forests are overgrown with trees. Although the road has improved and can be ridden by motorcycle, most visitors to the falls prefer to trek. We crept into the forest to find the waterfall in the last days of the year, stomping our feet on the rustling dry leaves, following the sound of the Khuoi Luong stream, and then to the big waterfall. We stopped, closed our eyes, and took a deep breath before sitting down on the waterfall to feel the cool water around our feet, and soon saw the small fish come to "massage" us very pleasantly. If you want to push yourself even further, you can climb over large sprawling rocks and swerve through the last dense bushes to reach the top of the falls while watching the saliva splash white underfoot. The sound of the waterfall rumbling and flowing in unison with the sound of birds chirping in the middle of a lush forest. Visitors from noisy cities, like me, want to sit there forever, soaking in the atmosphere and sounds of the mountains and forests.

We returned home in the evening to eat a meal prepared by Xới's parents using the same ingredients as before, including chicken, rabbit, fish, and fresh vegetables. The warm meal in the yellow light of the courtyard at the foot of the stilt house was occasionally accompanied by laughter. Then, as the village went to sleep, we, strangers still sitting together, told headless stories, heard insects chirping, and gazed up at the starry sky before falling asleep.

The next day, I borrowed a bicycle by myself and cycled around the villages of Tông Pắng, Tông Pình Cại, and Thâm Pất. Even though I had harvested all of the golden roots smelling of ripe rice, I was engrossed in watching the field and inhaling the clear air. Valley Lam Thuong was surrounded by mountains and forests, and he noticed clouds swooping down on the roofs early in the morning. Because the villagers are farmers, they frequently get up early, cook breakfast, release cattle, and then go to the field to work as a refuge. As a result, if you look up at the high mountains and see the sun shining, blue smoke has surrounded the palm roofs when you look down at the village.

After breakfast, Xới led us to climb Khau Chảu mountain more than 2km from home. Because the road is not too long but steep, everyone must eat well to climb without faltering. The way up the mountain does not have streams or waterfalls, but in return, it passes many orchards and green trees, and wherever they go, whether patrons or strangers, they are happily invited by the villagers. Along the way, you also encounter herds of cows, buffaloes grazing, and uncles crossing the forest road to harvest corn and bamboo shoots at the end of the season.

Everyone is surprised at the top of Khau Chau Mountain because the peak is not pointed but flat like plain, green grass and dotted with a few large palm trees. Khau Chau is only a few hundred meters high, but the route up many steep sections, whoever comes to Lam Thuong, just set foot in the Tay stilt house, you will immediately feel the airiness as well as the villagers' hospitality.

The Tay people here primarily farm, growing rice, corn, and crops, as well as raising cattle and poultry. Every family has a fish pond in addition to the vast rice fields that cover the valley. Water from mountain streams flows in, keeping the pond stocked with food for the fish and ducks. Many households have more chickens, pigs, rabbits, and dragon fruit plants... Lam Thuong people make many fresh specialties to treat guests, such as purple sticky rice, fish, gourd duck, native chicken, bamboo shoots, and spring moss, thanks to the fertile soil and abundant spring water.

A meal in the village costs only 80,000-150,000 VND but provides both eyes and a full stomach. If you do not order rice at people's homes, trekking journeys, picnics, or streams, there is a shack where you can make a field meal when purchasing meat and fish in the village. Local chickens and ducks roam the field, ensuring that the meat is firm and chewy; fish raised in ponds for natural spring water should be consumed, particularly fish that is not fishy but also very valuable.

Currently, an Xới house serves as a community tourism service in Lam Thuong. Although the village is small, visitors from far away come to the house every year to play Tet and experience the idyllic life and very unique culture of the Tay people. He builds a pair of small stilt houses next to the stream, right next to the big house, for guests to enjoy some privacy when accompanying the couple or family, in addition to the large house that three or four generations of families live in.Upper green rice season in Lâm Thượng Valley.

And if you come here during the Tet holiday, you won't have to travel far because the Tay people in the village already have specialties in the house. They slaughtered pigs to eat until January, prepared kitchen meat, pork sauce, cooked fish, and gourd ducks, wrapped flowers to offer rice to ancestors and traveled long distances to treat guests. Tet visitors can try on traditional indigo dresses, shop for holiday items, go to the market, and actively participate in folk games such as tug of war, pushing sticks, blindfolds, and duck catching.

Lam Thuong does not have particularly unique or well-known scenery, but hidden within him are the breath of peace and soul, quiet but warm nights, and mornings full of clear clouds that cause everyone to feel lightheaded in a moment of simple but profound happiness.

Nặm Me Waterfall

The breathtaking beauty of Nặm Me waterfall.

The waterfall has a length of about 4km and 15 majestic waterfall floors, with small waterfalls interspersed between the large waterfall layers, creating a "soft white silk strip" that stands out among the deep green mountains and forests. Khuoi Nhi (Khuổi Nhi) Waterfall

The magical beauty of Khuoi Sung Waterfall is impressive; many small waterfalls intertwine to create a one-of-a-kind natural picture.

Khuoi Gun Waterfall is a large waterfall that flows from the Sinh Long mountain range, which contains many underground geysers and small ravines that flow to Trung Phin (Trung Phìn) mountain. The waterfall is made up of 15 different large and small waterfalls, each floor ranging in width from 30m to 50m, stretching for about 5km, with an average height of more than 700m above sea level and a large water flow all year.

The waterfall floors range in height from 20m to more than 120m and are divided into many large and small waterfall floors, with the flowing water creating clear puddles at the waterfall's base. When the path is steep cliffs, dense trees, and desolate, conquering 15 floors of waterfalls is a real challenge for visitors.

At an elevation of 2,005 meters, the forest rhododendron population grows on the top of K'Lang (Abanh 2 village, Tr'hy commune, Tay Giang district, Quang Nam). This forest is regarded as a treasure by the Co Tu people and is one of Vietnam's few remaining virgin rhododendron forests.

More than 430 hundred-year-old rhododendron trees have been designated as Vietnamese heritage trees in this area. Rhododendrons are classified into two types: broadleaf and coniferous. They live alternately, with no room for other plants.

Many trekking routes in the south are well-known, such as Ta Nang - Phan Dung, conquering the East Pole, K50 waterfall, Bidoup peak - Nui Ba... However, many tourists are unaware of the existence of Phuoc Binh National Park in Ninh Thuan province.

When you mention Ninh Thuan, people immediately think of Nui Chua National Park, the blue sea, or the sun and wind. Few people are aware that Phuoc Binh National Park is located in northwest Ninh Thuan province, near Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong provinces. To begin our exploration of this location, we had to travel up Dalat and then down to Nam Hon Giao of Bidoup National Park. Then we went to the primeval old-growth forest, where the fog created high humidity all year long, allowing the mosses to grow smoothly, clinging to the trunks of old trees and the rocks along the stream. The excitement of entering here did not want to leave, but the entire group had to continue to find Phuoc Binh grass hill.

We descended continuously from nearly 2000m to 600-1000m, walking on the spine of the hill, occasionally encountering large slopes, the group only dared to sit down, on one side was the cliff, the other side the abyss. People have been walking aimlessly since leaving Bidoup National Park, walking in the middle of the "spine" that fog covers over their heads, not knowing what is around them.

People kept moving forward, slope after slope, realizing that going to the forest required more willpower than health. That's because you're in an old-growth forest a few meters from no one, a dozen meters away when the "howl" doesn't direct the person to call, and a hundred meters up in the mountain forest.

The fog gradually cleared, and the light in front of the road gradually increased, and everyone began to rejoice because they knew they were about to exit the old forest, and ahead was Phuoc Binh grassy hill. Everyone must have been taken aback by the breathtaking scenery as they emerged from the haunting forest. We may have visited forests with beautiful green grassy hills in the past, but never saw them stretch and undulate to the horizon like Phuoc Binh.

One night, we camped in the grassy hills, turning off all the lights to illuminate the old mountain forest and the green grassy hills that remained bright the night. In a city full of lights, it's difficult to see the slowly drifting stars.

Along the way, I photographed the landscape of the border rocky plateau - Dong Van Rock Plateau, which has been designated a UNESCO Global Geopark.

It was majestic, with silent rocks stacked in layers, creating a massive gray picture, and we were suddenly reduced to the vastness of the rock.Back and forth through the passes, the slope winds with difficult sleeve bends. Walking on this pass will move our entire bodies, swaying and spinning like an umbrella in the dances of beautiful Mèo girls. Nho Quế stream circles the green mountainside deep at the pass's foot.On Dragon Mountain's northernmost tip, the sacred Lung Cu FlagPoleThe Lung Cu flagpole is a must-see destination at the end of the journey. Nobody knows how many waterfalls there are in this 22,000-hectare forest. Suoi Tien alone has ten large and small waterfalls along its 6km length. Each waterfall varies in height but is stunning amidst the unspoiled mountain scenery.

We arrived at Suoi Tien after more than 30 minutes of walking, weaving under the canopy of the ancient forest, and listening to birds singing, leaves ringing, and strange animal sounds. The stream is unremarkable without a white, silky waterfall that loosens its hair. According to legend, the villagers used to call the waterfall "Silver Hair," but later changed it to "Fairy Hair." The first visitors to this location are always "Fairy hair," not necessarily "Mr. Fairy's hair."Fairy Hair Waterfall is located on a cliff and is surrounded by two "arms" trees, making it romantic and poetic. The lake beneath Fairy Hair Waterfall is so clear that pebbles of various sizes and colors, as well as small schools of fish, can be seen.

We were told by Fairy Hair that we would continue our journey by following the stream bank. People are only allowed to bring a smartphone to take photos, in addition to quick-drying suits, helmets, gloves, and slippers. Porters will transport all luggage to its final destination.The phone was the only thing bothering me as I passed through the third waterfall. To overcome the rocky slopes when standing up, when slippery, when sharp, you must employ all defense education postures: rolling, dragging, crawling, clinging, clinging, pulling... The slips are also too "spectacular": when the waves are in the stream and being thrown up and down, the buttocks and back continue to kick unexpectedly and painfully. I stood there for a long time, letting the magical rain of cool rock seep into my flesh, my heart rising with joy like the day she showered on my porch.

We arrived at the most talked-about waterfall on the trip after wading a few more sections of the stream. From above, the waterfall appears to be a piano with white keys and a flowing sound. Duong Piano Waterfall, which is 50m high and slopes about 70 degrees, is one of Chau-Khe Nuoc Trong Cave's most beautiful waterfalls.

To pass this waterfall, the experiencer must wear a protective belt that connects two ropes, one supported by two winch operators from the top of the waterfall and one rope that the passer must grasp and actively climb using strong pulling force with both hands.

After only a few stone steps, I noticed that the water from the waterfall was becoming increasingly powerful, the rocks were slippery, and it was difficult to find a place to cling. That is why Netin Travel Company's guides are true artists. Their orange-robed silhouettes moved flexibly and gracefully over the white foaming waterfall without the ropes.

We arrived at the campsite after crossing Thác Dương Cầm (The Piano Falls) and wading a short distance. It was a tall and relatively flat rock near the edge of the forest, next to the stream.

The afternoon sun added a few puffs of smoke from the newly rekindled fire to the forest scene, making it more peaceful and cozy. Birds, frogs, and streams could be heard from afar. Dinner in the middle of the forest includes snails, rub (stone crab) caught under the slot, and a bowl of begonia leaves soup cooked with sweet and sour spring fish.

We heard the forest guards tell stories of the monkeys and langurs who used to tease the dogs at the Monkey Bridge Forest Protection station at night, in the moonlight through the sky, by the fire from the boiling pot of water; the placement of photo traps to detect animals recorded in the Red Book of Vietnam and the World such as saola, gaur, Truong Son gill, pheasant, pheasant...

There are also numerous medicinal plants and valuable trees in the forest, including honey mahogany, mop mahogany, lim xanh, and incense. The forest here is an evergreen rainforest, a rare type of forest still found in Vietnam, and it is rich in flora and fauna.

From the time of the war until now, generations of Quang Binh people have protected this forest. Cultural and historical values such as Bai Bullet, Bru-Van Kieu villages such as The Regiment village, and the legendary Truong Son road through the forest attract visitors when they come here...

The sensation of waking up in the mountains and forests for the first time is indescribable. The stream was calm and rattling, not rumbling like it had been yesterday afternoon; the sound of birds and leaves was also quieter. Sitting quietly, feeling like many melancholy, my heart's sorrows melted with the wind, and my breath merged with nature.

The Heaven's Gate waterfall was the final challenge on our journey. This is Tien Stream's longest and tallest waterfall (about 120m). Looking up from the waterfall's base, Heaven's Gate is tall.

To get to the top of the waterfall, you must climb steep rocky slopes. There are sections that require crossing the forest and climbing the cliffs. The Sky Gate Waterfall is magnificent; the water from above cascades down white like a silk strip, winding among the green mountains and forests. There are a lot of old trees in this forest. The presence of an entire forest of woody ferns attests to the long-standing formation of this pristine, ancient beauty.

Sky Gate Waterfall has a cool, pleasant midsummer climate with temperatures ranging from 22 to 240 degrees Celsius. Quang Binh is aiming for an ideal location for the ecotourism and resort tourism industries.

Dong Chau-Khe Nuoc Trong Forest also serves as the source of two major rivers, Dai Giang (Long Dai) and Kien Giang, both of which are tributaries of the Nhat Le River. Hundreds of streams pouring in from this location have nourished the rich rivers and villages downstream.

We completed the journey by swimming through a fairly deep lake and down a steep slope to the other side of the mountain. A return journey.

The sensation of "landing" is satisfaction from conquering oneself, not the waterfalls.

The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) identified Dong Chau-Khe Nuoc Trong as one of 200 centers with high biodiversity worldwide, and BirdLife International identified it as one of Vietnam's 62 important and endemic bird regions.

Dong Chau-Khe Nuoc Trong has a forest cover of more than 98%, with more than 50% of the protected evergreen closed forest (more than 14 thousand hectares) remaining almost intact. This type of forest has high biodiversity and is extremely rare in Vietnam.

"Cloud hunting" in Ta Xùa

Few people are not captivated by Vietnam's majestic scenery, but it is even more magical when heaven and earth give precious moments when mountains blend with clouds. Mountains in the clouds, clouds, or a sea of clouds floating around the eye have become popular destinations for people seeking "moving" pleasures.

Is there such a thing as "cloud season"? Yes, because the clouds were stunning that time of year. The most beautiful "cloudy" times in the northern mountains are late autumn and early winter or spring. With the terrain of intertwined forests, mountains, rivers, and valleys, the day rises with the sun when the clouds come, even when the night temperature is low. Clouds spread indifferently over the mountains or form a vast sea of clouds in beautiful valleys like fairies. Go from east to west through the northern mountainous provinces; where there are high mountains, there are clouds. If you only have a few days, Tam Dao (Vinh Phuc) or Lung Van - the roof of Muong Hoa Binh country - are good places to "hunt clouds." You can be proud of finding white clouds while driving less than 100 kilometers from Hanoi.

Cloud Valley at Ta Xùa (Son La)

In the future, there will be so many options that each destination will have its own set of emotions, and then the intention to continue the journey of discovering beauty in the midst of nature. Sa Pa or Y Ty (Lao Cai), Ta Xùa (Son La), Sin Ho (Lai Chau), or the four great passes are Khau San (Yen Bai), Ma Pi Leng (Ha Giang), O Quy Ho (Lao Cai), and Pha Din are the most popular on the "cloud hunting" map (Son La – Dien Bien). Sapa is known as the "city in the mist," so I came here to take in the scenery of mountains and ethnic minorities painted in mist and clouds. Clouds rushed into the window of the house overlooking Muong Hoa valley in the distance, over the Hoang Lien Son range. Everyday concerns were sometimes washed away by the clouds. When thinking about mountains and rivers, the name Y Ty (Bat Xat district - Lao Cai province) - "where the Red River flows into Vietnam" must have enough sacred meaning, but if you can immerse yourself in the cloud gardens here, everyone will want to return. However, Rat has been dubbed the "white cloud paradise," despite the fact that getting there is not easy. It is approximately 450 kilometers from Hanoi to Y Ty, with an arduous final distance and heart-wrenching sleeve bends, but in exchange, you will enjoy the majestic, overwhelming mountain landscape and the specialty "white clouds." The Ha Nhi village was surrounded by clouds, with houses that looked like mushrooms. Clouds floated up the mountain slopes in front of them like a sea of clouds. In that cloudy realm, in that quiet space, which was suddenly filled with colorful brocade on dresses fluttering to the rhythm of the Hmong girls... Ta Xùa (in Bac Yen district - Son La province), more than 200 kilometers from Hanoi, is also a place with beautiful white clouds. Because of the year-round cloud cover, the people of Ta Xùa refer to this location as the "gateway to Heaven." Standing on a high point on "beautiful cloudy" days, looking down is a magical sea of porous white clouds. Although it only lasts a few minutes, the sea of clouds is the most magical moment on the "cloud hunting" journey.
